ACE
(American Cinema Editors) was first founded in 1950. Its first awards dinner
was held to honor those in the category of editing, who had received a Academy
Award nomination. When the NATAS started giving Emmy Awards for editing, ACE
included them in there annual awards dinner. In 1962 ACE started giving its own
editing awards know as the Annual ACE Eddie Awards for both film and television.
The ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 18, 2007 at the Beverly
Hilton Hotel, in Beverly hills.
